Proud to announce!!

I am proud to announce that I am once again back to my pre-baby weight and size !! YAHOO!!! I can wear my bikini again ......only in my own backyard of course. Its so fun to discover a whole new wardrobe.... I've had packed away in the garage . Now the trick will be to keep it off, at least until I get pregnant again. Its amazing how much better I feel in my clothes. If you want my secret you'll have to ask until then Im keepin to myself !!!

Funny things Emily says

I want to start keeping track of all the funny things Emily says. She says new things all the time and Im afraid Im going to forget them .....I already have forgotten alot of them . Im gonna try to remember to log them in daily !!
last week:
Em: Uh I wanna see "A" ( adi )
Me: Emily do want to take a bath ?
Em: No , I cant swim !
The other night :
Emily woke up out of a dead sleep and said "KK" "LISSA" !!
Shes says all the time with a big sigh " Im tired" !

Memorial Weekend 2008

We stopped at PawPaw Franks grave monday . It was a great way to end a fun weekend.
Andy and Kevin caught lots of fish. Kevin even caught a 7 pounder!

Emily spotted the ducks and chased them right back into the water!

Memorial Day !

We were invited to a BBQ with the Heirtzler family. We went to Alissas Aunt Waynes place . There are 3 or 4 lakes to fish . The guys went really early to get started then the girls came later with the kids. Emily had fun fishing with daddy. She road around in Rhino for awhile with me and Alissa then road on the 4 wheeler with ALissas mom and the kids.

When we came out of the aquarium there were bunch of pigeons , so of course Emily wanted to get as close as she could. A little girl came over and gave Emily some bread to feed them . It was funny to see her chase them around.

This was a fun weekend. Saturday we took Emily to the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. It was really crowded though, so some of the things she likes she didnt get to see. Its a pretty cool place. Its amazing how many different things live in the ocean. Half way through Emily says to me "wheres the horses"? After we left there we walked over to the Riverwalk Mall and ate lunch. I would've loved to walk around outside and eat by the River (Mississippi) but it was unbelievably hot and humid. We were even gonna walk down to the French Quarter but we couldnt bare the thought of being outside more then we had to be!

Turtle!

Andy saw a turtle about the cross the road the other night so he stopped, picked him up and brought him home to show Emily. He never would come out of his shell ! We left him in the backyard but the next day he was gone.
Before moving here my mom said "just think of it as an adventure", "some where new to live". Well you guessed it ....its an adventure all right.

Junk food junkie

Of course all she ate was the frosting, thats the best part !

I made cupcakes last night and let Emily clean out the frosting jar!! What a mess!

Emily at the farm

While I was in Utah Andys mom took Emily to her friends farm. She said Emily had a blast. She got to play with goats, ride the horse and chase the chickens. She is such an animal lover. She didnt get that from me thats for sure. Must be from her Daddy. Im so thankful for my mother-in-law . It was alot easier for me to leave Emily for 4 days knowing she was with her. I know watching Emily isnt easy sometimes.But Emily just adores her. She has so much fun with her. Everytime she comes home from their house shes learned a new song. Yesturday I was in the kitchen cleaning (like always) and Emily came in singing "do as Im doing , follow follow me". I havent heard that song since I was in primary.

Little Froggy

Tonight we pulled in the driveway and Andy saw a frog right by the garage. He jumped out and grabbed it to show Emily. I ran in the house and got her bug container. We brought it in the house for awhile so we could check him out. Of course Emily thought is was so cool.I kept freakin out because she kept trying to take the lid off!! We finally told her he needed to go back outside. She didnt like that idea. So we told her he missed his mommy and daddy and needed to go home. She seemed ok with that so we took him outside and let him go home !!

Mommys make-up

Emily always sits by me in the morning while I put my make-up on. Most of the time she just grabs things and runs or puts things in drawers and I have to search for them , but this day she wanted some on too. It makes a mess but WHO CARES, it all cleans up.

Mothers Day

This Mothers Day was hard for me . I got upset a few times at church, I missed my mom. I know , I just saw her 2 weeks ago but for some reason knowing shes about 2000 miles away makes a difference. My mom is truly my best friend. Im so glad I get to see her again in July. YAHOO!!
Andy got me flowers and Emily made a cute little thing with her handprints on it in the nursery. We went to Andys parents house and ate lunch with everyone. It was a good day .

New earrings

Andy and I saw these earrings in Utah 1 time then never could find them anywhere in any store. We found them last weekend in Lafayette so we had to buy them. They are so cute, little pink cowboy boots. This is the first time I have changed her earrings.
