~ ~ I just have to say ~ ~

I am so grateful for my family. They are so generous to us. I am very thankful to my Aunt Dana, for her opening her home to us and letting us stay here. I know if it wasn't for our family here we'd be lost. We've got my brothers a few minutes away , Ashley a few minutes away and even Andy's Uncle Mike lives right down the road. I feel out of place here in Utah which is wierd for me to say because this was my home for 15+ years. I think maybe because we don't have a routine yet. Emily doesn't have a pre-school and I don't have a set schedule for my workouts yet. I feel like all we do is hangout. I am constantly looking for a job but I have to figure out what to do with Emily first. I'm finding out also that we were very lucky to have such an awesome pre-k in LA. There is nothing here that is that cheap. We paid 42 a month there and here the cheapest I have found is 75 and thats for only 3 days a week. I get so overwhelmed by trying to figure out things in my head that I feel so helpless.
Now the snow is not helping things either. We have been pretty much snowed in 2 times now and I go stir crazy staying home all day .
I am so thankful for my parents and their constant support. I can't imagine where I would be if I didn't have the peace in my heart knowing they will always be there for me . I know I am truly blessed to have the family I have.

Christmas day !

Emily asked me last week if Daddy could just meet Santa outside to get her presents! SO thats exactly what we told her he did! She loved everything she got. She was really excited about all her stuff.
That afternoon my cousins came back over with their kids and they decorated sugar cookies while Andy and I went to see True Grit. It was fun to go to the movies together even though it was sold out and Andy had to sit on the floor !! Next time we'll plan better !

Christmas Eve

Emily's meeting all kinds of kids these days. My cousins and Andys cousins all have kids around Emily's age. Shes lovin it and so are we , we are excited to have lots of new babysitting prospects! Andy and I can actually start "dating" again !

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we went to the Vanchiere's. Emily just jumped right in and joined the Nativity with all the other kids. It was really cute. After the Nativity the kids took turns showing their talents. Emily actually volunteered to sing a song in front of everyone ! She sang "We wish you a Merry Christmas " !

Aunt Carol's visit

My Aunt Carol was here for Christmas. Emily had never met her before or at least hadn't seen her since she was really little. Emily loved her ! She played with her and let her read to her and even stayed with her so Andy and I could go to the movies !

BIG CUPCAKE !

Emily has been dying for one of these, so my Mom bought her one while she was here !
It actually was kind of a pain to make but Emily loved it !

Baby Kyah's blessing

My Grandpa was here for Christmas so while he was here Brad asked him to give Kyah a "Name and a Blessing". It was very sweet and my Grandpa was excited to do it. Kyah is the cutest lil thing !

Snow !

Woke up to at least A FOOT of snow. As you can see my car was pretty much stuck ! Luckily we have my Dad's truck or we would've been stuck all day and Andy would've had to miss work !

~Our First Snow~

We woke up this morning to 4 or 5 inches of snow. This is actually the first time I didn't dread going out in it. I guess thats because I don't have to yet. Once I get a job and life gets back to the normal "hecktic" I will feel different. Emily loves it ! She was so excited she wanted to go out and play in it first thing this morning ! Luckily Ashley gave her some of Liddy's old snow boots and a snow bib ! Thankgoodness for handmedowns!

UTAH !!

Emmy has been spending lots of time with her cousins these days ! Even the freezing cold weather isn't slowing them down !

Goodbye Louisiana

I'm not going to write too much right now because I am still crying to easily about leaving Louisiana!! I never ever thought I would be so sad driving away from our little country home, I was a mess. I started thinking about how much I actually liked living in the country and all the wonderful friends I have made in the few years living there. I think it was a great experiance for Emily and especially for me. I learned a lot about bugs, frogs and people ! It was so sad for ME to see Emily have her last day at school and dance. All her little friends saying Bye , and Emily not really understanding she will never see these kids again. On the positive side , we are back together as a family. Andy flew home on Thanksgiving Day. We were so excited, Emily and I were betting on who could run to Daddy the fastest! Of course she beat me ! We had a good Thanksgiving and got to say bye to everyone but Liz and Kevin! Friday was moving day and unfortunately there was alot more to do then I had anticipated. But we got it done with some help from Church members. We left for Utah Saturday early morning. Our drive went really well and actually didn't feel as long as it was. We stopped in Amarillo, Texas for the night. We got up early the next day just to do it all over again, 12 hours in a car with a 4 year old! Emily is actually a really good traveler . She always has been . Even when she was really little she would just watch her DVD player and hang out ! We got to Las Vegas on Sunday night about 8pm. We hit a little snow on the way but nothing to scary . Andy had to get up early Monday morning to get to work. Emily and I are visiting with Gramma and Grampa for a few days then we will head up to Utah on Thursday .
Andy seems to really like his new job and we are excited about being Utah and excited about the many possiblities for our family .

Here we go again!

We came home the other day and could not find Scat. After a few minutes of calling her and looking under beds this is what we found ......under Emily's bed.
3 Kittens. We knew she was pregnant but we were hoping she would have them after we moved so we wouldn't have to deal with the issue of figuring out what to do with them and Emily having a fit when we move.
O-well....here we go again! One did die 2 days after it was born so now we only have 2 . That was a bad day for Emily. She had never dealt with death before. She didn't understand. I told her the baby wasn't healthy and had to go back to Heavenly Father. She held the kitty and we found a place to lay him outside. She was just beside herself and was so sad. I reminded her of the 2 other healthy ones she still has and that helped her a little !

Our poor cats, there is no escaping the wrath of Emily ! She loves her kittys, I'm sure they feel a little different !hehe!

"Treasure Hunt"

We are taking full advantage of this awesome weather, Emily and I went out for a little "treasure hunt" she called it .
We walked all around the house and found a bunch of treasures !
Here is a few pictures of the cool things we saw along the way .
