Sleeping Beauty!

Emily refuses to take naps now. So shes always falling asleep in the car. Everytime I try to get her out she wakes up and then throws an hour fit so I decided to unhook the carseat and bring it in and see what happens. She slept in the carseat for 2 hours, woke up freaked out cuz she was strapped in so I got her out and she fell back to sleep for another hour or so half way sitting up !

Happy Birthday Aunt Lissa!!

ALissas b-day was Sunday so we all gathered at the in-laws for dinner and cake. Its pretty confusing when we are all together so I couldnt really get a good picture. But you can still see how young and cute she is ! LOL.....Love ya, Liz !

YW activity

We are making Journal Jars tomorrow night for our activity. This is the one I made. A Journal Jar is a jar filled with ideas or questions to write in your journal about. Cute huh?

Halloween crafts

I get so excited about my Little crafts, especially when they turn out cute. The Wreath was SOO easy. Its a twig wreath from Michaels Crafts it was $1.99 the web is from Dollar Tree $1.00 and it came with the spiders. I had some black spray paint so I spray painted it in the backyard. It took like 20 mins to dry then I decorated it . So total cost --less then $5.00 ! Good deal huh? Plus the satisfaction of making it my self "priceless" !

Shes out grown everything !

I cannot believe how fast kids grow. Emily has literally grown almost 2 sizes since we moved out here. Even clothes I bought for her last year on clearance hoping she could wear them this year are too small. I think right now she has 2 pairs of shoes that fit. 2 weeks ago after church I took her shoes off and her feet had shoe imprints around the top and were bright red. I felt so bad, she wore them w/o complaint. Its beginning to cool off a lot out here and last night Kevin and Liz watched Em for a few hours. Before I took her over there I tried on 3 pairs of pants that were 2T , 3T and 4t. Guess which ones fit ???? Yep , 4T . I couldnt believe it . Shes not chubby , shes just tall. Im hoping when shes potty trained the pants will fit better. Even her shirts that are 3t are to tight and Her dresses are too short too. Sunday I was in a huge hurry to get her dressed and she was having a fit . I put her outfit on and it was too small. Her shirt was too tight and her skirt was to short !I didnt have time to change her so that how she went ! O-well. At least I know what doesnt go back in her closet after she wears it . It just amazes me how fast she has grown!

I've created a "monster"

Well Emilys 2 not just 2 "terrible 2" and getting worse ! Seems the more she learns the worse she gets! Shes learning new phrases and new ways to talk back. Unfortunately its my fault. "At least I admit it , right"? She is so high maintenance and wants me to play with her all the time which if you are a parent you know this is impossible. So shes constantly hanging on me , following me and screaming at me. She'll say " Mommy, get oba here now" actually she screams it! She also says " I cant stand it " or "get off of me". Right now shes throwing my folded laundry on the floor and screaming "stop it , stop it" ! She pinches and bites me and Andy . Im so afraid shes gonna hurt another kid. If she doesnt get what she wants when she wants it watch out !
I dont know what to do or how to handle her except ignore it ! She doesnt respond to spanking or counting 1,2,3. When I count 123 she says 456 ! Time outs a joke too. If anyone knows "The Nanny" personally PLEASE send her my way !

"Stranded"

While we were stranded by the hurricane we were sitting on the porch and Emily was waving at people going by on 4wheelers --Shes got Honeys glasses on and her heels. So funny !

Emily loves glasses, she either wants to wear them or makes us wear them all the time . Andys mom has reading glasses and Emily decided she needed them. She wore them all day the other day . She looked "special" as my mom put it .

Ok well Emily loves my shoes and tries to wear them around the house. I decided to buy her some little dress up shoes. She wears them all over. It is hilarious watching her walk around in those little heels and a diaper !p.s. the X's on the windows is tape for the hurricane prep. !

Humidity

Emilys hair is naturally curly and when our power went out it was so hot and humid in our house her hair was out of control. It was so cute with big ringlets! Mine is curly too in the humidity but of course its not cute like Emilys, so you wont be seeing any pictures of me !

Preparing for the Hurricane

Everyone puts tape on their windows so when the glass breaks it doesnt make a huge mess! We went and got everything we needed for a few days. We didnt think we would powerless for so long ! After 3 days we were out of ice for our coolers. We went to stay with Andys mom for a night . Then we were invited to Adis parents house. They live in Jennings which is about 2 hours west of us. Their power actually never went out. IT was SO nice to have a/c and lights.We are so spoiled ....You never realize what you take advantage of. I know we are much more fortunate then many other people out here.Our power was restored today , so we drove home this afternoon. Andys brother Kevin and his wifes family are still out of power. They do have generators but you have to put gas in those and that can get expensive. Plus the gas stations are out of control.There are lines miles long. Only some grocery stores are open and some will only let a few people in at a time and you have to use cash ! It is crazy !
