Young Womens lessons and handouts

Today my lesson was on repentence , I found these Huge erasers at Dollar Tree that say "For BIG mistakes" on the front. I thought that would be so cute for a handout at the end of class. I had my "creative minded" Mom come up with a cute little saying. I attached it with card stock and ribbon. The girls loved them of course. Im finding new web-sites that are somewhat linked to the church ( but not official church websites) that have tons of cute ideas for lessons, activites, and handouts. I'd like to say Im creative but Im really not,not with out a little help anyway :0)!
Last week my lesson was on Obedience so I introduced the lesson with announcing we were gonna make my famous Choco Chip cookies. I had one of the girls read my recipe .....for the oil , I used Baby oil. I said "I didnt have any oil at home so I figured this would work " , for eggs I put the whole egg shell and all in the bowl, by now the girls are gettin a little worried. Next, flour -I cut up two small real flowers and mixed them in, baking soda --open a can of soda pop and put it the bowl. The girls are having a fit by now.....salt--garlic salt. "Chips"-- potato chips!!! Anyways the whole point was you need to be obedient to the "recipes" of life or your cookies (life) wont turn out how you want ! It went really good. ( I hope all that made sense to you all! ) My take home handout was a recipe card with scriptures on obedience written out like a recipe.
The week before that my lesson was on Free agency. I found small little gift boxes at the Dollar tree wrapped ribbon around them and a note that said " The Gift of Free Agency". I know , I know ......Cute huh? Dont you wish you had me for a YW leader !!! Just kidding . I do,so far really like my calling. Its fun and I seem to have really good girls and rumor has it they really like me too !
Heres a picture on my handout from today !

What a great handout and for sure something those girls will remember. I love all your craftiness! Did you want to reserve a booth at the Quilted bear??? You could start making some bucks ;)

Alicia...I told you you were a natural. I love giving out handouts each week too. The last time I was in Young Women's the other ladies didn't like it because they didn't give them to their classes. But I know the girls like it and they remember the lessons better. Keep up the good work!!!!!
